On not explaining it

There are no instructions, labels, or tooltips describing what the device does. If the interaction has to be explained, the interaction failed. The only output is the oscilloscope — which starts in noise and resolves into something alive when the right configuration is found.

On the controls

Every control is built from scratch with pointer-event physics — momentum, friction, overshoot and settle. The tuning took longer than the architecture. A dial that doesn't feel weighted breaks the illusion that any of this is real.

On the audio

All seven sounds are synthesised at runtime via the Web Audio API. No files. The shimmer sweep at 0.3 proximity is the only hint you're getting close. The three-note chime at 0.7 is the only confirmation you found something. The panel tells you nothing else.
